LEGO 9748 Droid Developer Kit is a Mindstorms Star Wars set released in 1999, containing 657 pieces. It includes the Micro Scout control unit and parts to build R2-D2 and L-3GO with step-by-step instructions. A bundled CD-ROM provides additional guided building and programming content, along with partial instructions for advanced models such as a battle droid and a Gungan sub. The set supports multiple builds at varying skill levels and represents an early crossover between LEGO Mindstorms and Star Wars.
